Rajshri’s popular TV show “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki” on Sahara One Channel completed 1000 episodes on 17th June 2009. The team of “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki” gathered together to celebrate this grand success! A pooja was followed by a party in the divine aura of the Iskcon temple in Mumbai. The entire cast and crew participated in the grand Aarti and received the blessings of Lord Rama.

Kavita Barjatya, who heads the TV division of Rajshri led the proceedings. Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Rajkumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya and Sooraj R Barjatya welcomed one and all. The members of the Sahara One team joined the celebration and Mr. Mushtaq Sheikh, Head- Sahara One graced the occasion personally.

The evening saw a gathering of many stars… Actors who were a part of the serial initially, namely Shagufta Ali, Aamir Ali, Reeta Badhuri, Rushad Rana, Anupam Bhattacharya, Anang Desai, Rakesh Paul, Satyajeet Sharma, Usha Bachani, Neelam Mehra, Snehal Sahay, Vinay Jain, Ankur Nair, Supriya Karnik and many others were present and were very emotional and expressed their happiness… The current lot of actors present included protagonist Reena Kapoor with Karan Grover (KayJee), Yashodhan Rana, Bhairavi Raichura, Chetanya Adib, Aliraza Namdar, Poonam Gulati, Renuka Bondre, Neha Desai, Faizal, Parth, Kiran Bhargav and Aman Sondhi. The other guests included Madhushree, Kaushik Ghatak, Irshaad Kaamil, Purnendu Shekher and friends of the Barjatya Family.

All the actors along with the creative & production team of “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki” cheered together for the achievement of the landmark 1000 episodes of the serial while cutting the cake. The number “1000” on the cake highlighted how special the moment was for all present. Then everybody started watching Sahara One and the countdown began to the most cherished moment… the beginning of the 1000th episode. Finally the well-known title song of Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki was heard and for the next one-hour the hosts & guests, all present, got involved in Rani’s life.

A Pooja followed by a Party, this unique event and an incredible combination is only found at Rajshri. All the guests present really appreciated this new thought…Very rarely does one see a gathering of the artists and each and every member including the lightmen and the spot boys etc like this under one roof… When asked about the same, Kavita says, “I am very lucky to be representing such a wonderful team.
